Noncredit Financial Assistance

The value of your continuing education is priceless!

Still, you may find it hard to cover the cost of your noncredit programs. Financial assistance may be available to help you with some or all of the cost. Details and eligibility requirements are listed or linked below. If you are not eligible for any of our financial assistance options, we also offer a noncredit payment plan for some noncredit courses. Information regarding the noncredit payment plan is also included below.


Scholarships for Noncredit Students

The School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development offers scholarships for some noncredit programs which earn a Workforce Training Certificate.

Disability Tuition Waiver

If you are a Maryland resident who is out of the workforce by reason of total and permanent disability, you may be eligible for a disability tuition waiver for approved noncredit courses. Not all approved courses are offered each term.

WIOA Training Funds

If you have lost your job, have become a displaced or dislocated worker, or fit a number of other qualifiers, make an appointment at the  (AAWDC) to find out if you qualify for federal Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIOA) job training funds. Call AAWDC at 410-424-3240 to register for a free information session.


Noncredit Payment Plan

Some classes are eligible for a noncredit payment plan through Nelnet Business Services.

Private Student Loans

Some private loans are available only for credit students, but others will consider noncredit students. These loans are not part of the federal student loan program and require a credit check.
