51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s programs in Computer Science and Software Development will give you a foundation in computer science and mathematics. You'll learn how to use the latest and greatest software development languages to make computers do amazing things. There will also be lots of hands-on lab work for you to test out your skills.
The Computer Science department is proud to offer the Associate of Science (A.S.) in Computer Science. As an additional transfer option, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø has the unique Transfer Studies degree. Both degrees will prepare you to transfer to a four-year institution. Whichever path you choose, we strongly encourage you to meet with an advisor to structure your 51³Ô¹ÏÍø studies to meet your specific transfer goals.
This degree program provides a solid computer science and mathematics foundation for those students transferring to four-year colleges and universities to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer science. Students who have already selected a transfer college/university should consult with the Department Chair to plan their program and to keep abreast of program changes and updates to the transfer agreements between 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and the transfer institutions.

The Transfer Studies, A.A. allows you to explore different subjects or concentrate on a specific course plan that will best meet your in-state (and even some out-of-state) transfer goals. This option is particularly good if you are undecided in your ultimate career direction, not sure where you'd like to eventually transfer or just looking to complete general education requirements while "testing the waters" of a particular major. No matter what brings you to Transfer Studies, the result is a well-rounded associate degree preparing you for further studies and successful career.

In this certificate, students acquire or update software design and programming skills. Students also develop skills in software engineering, programming languages and the UNIX/LINUX operating system. Experienced computer programmers and technicians may gain skills in advanced high-level languages and programming environments.
You will develop and apply web design, database manipulation, programming and server-side scripting skills to create interactive websites. Learn skills needed to master both front-end and back-end technologies.
