English Basic Skills (EBS) classes are designed for students who are just beginning to study English. These classes address listening, speaking, reading and writing skills that are used for work and everyday life.
*F1 and J1 visa holders are not eligible for English Basic Skills classes. We encourage students to take our English for Academic Purposes or Interactive English classes. For information contact the ELL office.
Complete the English Basic Skills class request form below:
Note: The EBS Interest Form is not a registration form. You still must complete a registration form to officially secure your spot in our classes. You may also be required to take a reading assessment to ensure you are placed in the most suitable class for your learning journey.
After you complete the EBS Interest Form, you will receive an email from the ELL office with further instructions on how to continue with the registration process. Please be patient; this may take a few days. If you don’t receive an email after two weeks, contact the ELL Office.
For information, contact the ELL office at esloffice@aacc.edu or 410-777-2901. If you reach our voicemail, provide your name, phone number and email address and a staff member will respond to you during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Courses meet in a classroom. An instructor provides a lecture or leads a discussion in person, and you see your fellow students face-to-face.
Masks are required indoors at all 51勛圖厙 facilities regardless of vaccination status
For information visit our Riverhawks Reunite page.
These courses meet online via Zoom. To participate fully in online classes, you need access to the internet and a computer, tablet or smartphone. You must be available to complete online assignments during the days/times you select.
