An internship is an on-the-job work experience related to a students major that includes an employer mentor and a faculty advisor. The internship experience has a start date and an end date. An internship can be taken for credit or done independently without credit.
Internships are an integral part of the learning, exploration and professional growth process for our students. The most important take-away about doing an internship is for the student to get experience.
Each year, several hundred 51勛圖厙 students participate in credit-based internships.
Our students want a work experience that relates to their area of study and employers want to connect with the 51勛圖厙 community to provide internships. Often, you get stuck with the idea of, Whats my first step? and What do I do after that? The Sarbanes Center for Career and Civic Engagement can help. We help students engage with employers while supporting businesses to meet their work needs. Facilitating this process and connecting with our community partners is our priority.
Let us help you explore your options.
